Entering the job market comes with a lot of uncertainties: Will my portfolio suffice? Will I find a job I actually enjoy? What job-offer could possibly fit the KISD curriculum?

Unfortunately, these questions don’t get talked about enough. Instead, many struggle alone. If stories of alumni are ever shared they’re mostly success-stories.

“Reality:Check” is breaking the silence. Through interviews with former and current students we opened the field for different experiences. Stories of success were shared, but there was no shying away from struggles either. Fears discussed were met with solidarity and hope.

“Reality:Check” wants to start a conversation. This small archive offers varied perspectives of students and alumni alike.

Break the silence around entering the work force. Though we all need to face this rite of passage individually, we don’t need to figure it out all by ourselves.
